WorldTowning University is designed to maximize your learning, give you a chance to connect with others, and provide a space to ask questions and grow. In the spirit of fostering an inclusive community of supportive, kind and welcoming adventurers, class participants are expected to adhere to the following rules of conduct and behavior.
CLASS RULES AND CODE OF CONDUCT:
1. Open discussion is a time to share and learn, but for the sake of timeliness if we see the discussion is going too far off topic, getting too personal, or venturing into offensive territory - we will refocus.
2. Participate. Offer insight. Ask questions. This class is for YOU and your adventure.
3. Be. On. time. This is tough, we know. Time zones are a pain. But you don't want to miss content or hold the class back.
4. Please keep your microphones on mute unless you are speaking or contributing to an open discussion. Background noise can be very distracting to others.
5. WTU is not a place for political or religious discussions. We respect that everyone is entitled to their opinion on such issues, however, this classroom is not the place for these topics to be discussed.
6. WTU considers itself a humanitarian company and therefore believes all individuals are created equal. At no time will we tolerate derogatory comments toward anyone based on race, religion, disability, gender or sexual preference. If this does occur we will kindly ask you to leave the class. No refunds will be given and the individual will not be allowed to join a future class.
7. Do not undermine others.
8. Adhere to the same standards of behavior online that you follow in real life and in a real classroom.
9. Know where you are in cyberspace, and understand that many people will view what you type.
10. Respect other people's time and bandwidth - so contribute valuable comments rather than "noise."
11. Express yourself clearly online and respect the views of others.
12. Respect other people's privacy by not sharing or spreading inappropriate information. If someone posts information that you think may have been posted accidentally, let them know about it privately.
13. Use proper and respectful language and refrain from any off-colour jokes, insults, or threats.
14. If you have won the class from a drawing at a conference please take it as serious as you would if you had payed full price for it.
