Starting a new journey is scary. We understand. It’s uncomfortable to step into the unknown and truly commit to your biggest dream. We are here to help. No question is silly, no question too complicated. To help you out we’ve assembled the questions we see the most. We encourage you to take a moment to read through these as well as our Code of Conduct policy. 

COURSE STRUCTURE:

What are the dates of the WorldTowning University classes? 

The class runs for 10 weeks. The scheduled for 2018 start dates for the course are:

  • Winter 2018: Starts January 30th at 2pm EST and ends April 10th (no class the week of February 20th).
  • Fall 2018: TBD


How is the class structured? 

The class is structured on the same format each week. No surprises!

  • Live class with Jessica, Will and the week’s guest speaker, if applicable.
  • Assigned homework.
  • Video lesson.
  • Discussion in Facebook group.


Will there be homework between classes?

Yes! But, think of it less as homework and more as taking steps towards your dream. Factor 3-4 hours per week. 


What technology do I need to participate in the class?

A stable internet connect is a must. Classes can be accessed via laptop, desktop, iPad, or even phone. For live video days, a phone is not ideal.

Programs required:

  • Facebook account
  • Free Zoom account. A link will be provided. 


What is the class size? 

The class size is limited to 12 individuals each session. This allows us to give you the personal help and guidance you need. Additionally, the smaller class size makes it easier to connect with other participants.

Is there a payment plan available?

We do not offer a payment plan at this time. The class length and logistics simply make this impossible.

What is the price

The cost for 10 weeks of class is $399.

Refund policy:

Yes, we offer a refund. We understand things happen, and we don’t take it personal. We respect you, and ask that you respect the following rules for refunds:

  • Full refund is offered if it is requested within 3 days of the initial payment.
  • Full refund is not offered if requested more than 3 days after the initial payment.
  • If a life event happens and you need to leave the class we are not able to offer prorated refunds. However, we allow you to pick up the course where you left off at the next session.

My partner/person both want to take the course, do we each pay $399?

No. Making life choices is a team effort, and we want to make sure your person is on board with you. To that extent we do allow you to register with your partner/adventure partner for $425. Please follow the instructions on the registration page when signing up.


COURSE CONTENT

How will I learn?

Learning will be facilitated in the following ways:

  • Live video discussions.
  • Live presentation from guest speakers.
  • Weekly homework assignments with research, reflection, and writing elements.
  • Guided discussion among fellow students.
  • Topical videos.
  • Q & A.
  • Individual presentations.


Do I have to attend the live class or will it be taped?

We will be taping the live classes and discussion. The live portions of the class is a crucial component to WorldTowning University. We strongly encourage all participants to make the live classes a priority, however we recognize things do come up. 

 

Will this class be confidential?

Yes. We do not share any of your information with outside parties. We do request that you complete a survey giving feedback at the end of the class. At that time, you have the option to give us a sentence or testimonial that can be shared with others.

 

How long will I have access to the material once the class has ended?

You will have access to the material for one year from start. Seriously! Planning a life change doesn’t happen overnight. We are committed to helping.


GENERAL FAQ

How much time will this require of me each week?

  • The live portion of class is 1 hour (sometimes we go over a little)
  • We suggest that homework assignments take 1-1.5 hours.
  • Live videos are 30min – 1 hour
  • Facebook group discussion is directed by you.

Total time commitment: 4 hours a week. (less time than the normal person spends watching TV or scrolling through endless Instagram streams!)

 

Is there a wait list if the class fills?

If you register for the class and it is full, you can request to be added to the next session for a non-refundable $50 deposit that will count towards total class cost.


Can I join if I cannot attend the live class?

You are welcome to join, however, if you do not attend the live class we are not able to discount the price or give a discount for the next session.

Additionally, please note that the live class is the core of this course. Without the live sessions, you are working mostly on your own and through the Facebook group. While that is still enjoyable, we know you’ll get more value and knowledge by interacting with us and fellow classmates.

 

I can’t join this one, will there be another in the future?

Yes, we have two WorldTowing University classes scheduled for 2018. Since classes fill up and are limited to 12 individuals, we suggest you sign up now and get added to the list for the next session.


What will I walk away with?

At the end of 10 weeks you will walk away to your next adventure with the following:

  • A dedicated community of other future WorldTowners who are holding you accountable. (The right support group is HUGE when making life changes)
